OUR STORY

18 years ago, The Gosselin Family decided to invest more in the South African Property market And began looking for opportunities in  Johannesburg.
A plot was acquired in Kew, on Second Road and the building commenced in early 2003, Gaelle Gosselin was the project manager and she quickly got things moving with architects, builders and suppliers from all over the province.

But before the excavation and foundation work could start, Gaelle, A biologist graduate, repertoired all of the indigenous plants and trees on the plot. We then removed all the vegetation that was endangered by the work and replanted it in a safe nursery, to be kept until the end of the project.

By May 2004 our first tenants had moved into the complex which was then only 12 apartments in the Northern Building. Some landscaping work began on the North, West and East sides of the property and many original plants were re-introduced into the borders. The southern side was destined for the second phase of building. This was completed in 2006 and the garden was then completed with new trees, a special little mountain called Mount Mulanje, dedicated to our late friend and helper Andrew Chachale, who was from the same area as the mountain in Malawi.

The apartment filled with tenants from all walks of life and from various parts of the world as far apart as the DRC and Germany. Many of the original dwellers of Faldouet stayed for well over 10 years. Some of the current tenants have been there for as long and some for over 12 years.
